The CatchOn TV App is CatchOn TV’s in-house Android app, the one the service itself recommends, and this hub is devoted to it. It installs on phones and tablets that run Android, on TV boxes and televisions with Android TV or Google TV, and on Fire TV devices still on Fire OS. Your activation email supplies the username and password that open it. Read on for where the download comes from, how sign-in works, the screens that can’t run it, and the cases where a universal player like TiviMate serves you better.
The CatchOn TV App in four points
- It’s an APK. The app is an Android package file, which limits it to Android-based systems. iPhones, iPads, Apple TV, Samsung and LG sets, Roku and the Vega OS generation of Fire TV sticks all need another route.
- The download is part of your order. The setup instructions you receive include either a download link or a numeric code for it. Codes belong in Downloader, nowhere else.
- It has a login of its own. A username and a password open it. You won’t type a server address, and no activation code is sold on the side.
- Players are the other option. For Android screens the service lists TiviMate and IPTV Smarters Pro. Samsung and LG owners get IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro, and Apple hardware has IPTVX and GSE Smart IPTV.
Plans that include the app
Whichever length you pick, the plan comes with the app. Card prices come from the IPTV Shift store and assume one screen. Each additional screen that plays simultaneously costs 45% of the plan’s price on top, with a ceiling of 5 screens.
